Beth Pitchford

Beth graduated summa cum laude from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Arts. After working at a web company in Glasgow, Scotland, she spent the next decade working in prepress and design in Georgia. Not long after moving to Minnesota, the recession significantly affected the printing industry. Beth spent time doing freelance graphic design, working at a bank, and eventually deciding to go to graduate school while working at a family-owned casual dining restaurant.

During this time she founded North Star Irish Dance in partnership with Deanne’s Dance Studio. The program also expanded to Division Street Dance. Beth continues to teach at NSID and to dance comptetively through O’Shea Irish Dance. While attending Adler Graduate School, Beth completed her internship requirements at the Autism Society of Minnesota where she was later hired as a part of the Mental Health Services team. Beth currently see clients at AuSM as a mental health therapist and assists in trainings and presentations throughout the state of Minnesota.
